To use BLS, click on the "Start BLS" button in the EMDR toolbar. You can experiment and get familiar with the EMDR toolbar and the BLS options right away by clicking "Start Session" for your "Test Client".
When you start BLS, you will see the BLS ball on screen and/or hear the BLS audio. When a client is connected via video you will also see their video feed on-screen and the BLS will overlay their video feed. Your clients screen will be black and only display the BLS ball and audio will be heard (if enabled). They can also hear your voice.
Your client will not see your video feed when you have activated BLS. When you stop BLS, they will automatically see your video feed on their screen once again.
Only you see the EMDR toolbar. Your clients do not see the EMDR toolbar or any other information that is displayed on your screen.
You can customize the BLS by clicking on the EMDR toolbar controls. From their you can:
Set a duration in seconds to run the BLS
Set a repetition count for how many left/right BLS repetitions to make
Adjust the BLS speed up and down
Change the color of the visual BLS
Change the direction of the visual BLS (left/right, diagonal, or infinity)
Choose what audio track to use for auditory BLS
Adjust the your and the clients volume for the EMDr auditory effects
